No such thing. Every path has a master. No one is devoid of influences and inputs upon which we make our choices. We never truly find the whole story, and based on these prior inputs and influences, we screen what we choose to investigate next and we impose a meaning on it that fits our heretofore worldview, and therefore all this is our "master" and affects how we move forward. "You are what you eat" intellectually speaking.
Not two paths but infinite. God and everything else.
And among those believing themselves to be on the God path - so many opinions and beliefs and disagreements and errors and such. But God is only One - an objective reality to be found and accepted as He is and our misconceptions set aside no matter how precious they are to us - because the truth about him is only One.
If God desires humans to know Him, there must be revelation from Him. From what I can, that would be the Bible.
However translations vary and they advance agendas. Interpretations vary and they advance agendas. And yet the objective truth with no agenda is in it, and has been searched for in it by wise and holy people much smarter and more devout than ourselves, and for millennia.
If you want to see "the catholic church is the whore of Babylon" in it you will find it. If you want to see "anyone not formally in the catholic church is going to hell" you will find that too.
"Those you trust the most" Q warns us about. "Be careful who you follow."
Do you trust yourself? Follow yourself? Be careful.
