Vents help patients and most of time save lives

This disease is so weird though it damages the hemoglobin and makes it useless so the hemoglobins becomes damaged and can’t carry the iron molecule anymore——iron is released at the lung level causing the ferritin levels to skyrocket and causing the D-Dimer (a molecule responsible for collecting damaged blood cells) to skyrocket, it also damaged the lung cells due to the extensive poisonous iron, hemoglobin is useless and carry oxygen with the vent support so the patient dies due to oxygen starvation

Most patients recover and most patients feel better with lung support (be it non-rebreather or high flow oxygen or vent) . The protocol is usually plaquenel , zinc and lung support and most patients respond well.

We were overwhelmed until a week ago, the past few days has been very calm and I’m praying it’s over

I’ve witnessed people die after 7-8 staff members trying our best to save their lives, it’s a terrible man made evil disease

Another thing we started knowing it’s Covid after looking at the X-ray and labs and SOB, we stopped waiting for the swab results
