OK the mirror and looking and things appearing opposite…
It makes me think of those diagrams illustrating how vision works. The image is upsidedown, but your brain flips it. Maybe that ability of your brain to see "down" when looking at "up" can be manually activated and brought to bear on other cognitive processes that your brain is handling.
