Robert S. Kapito, President and a Director of BlackRock, is a member of BlackRock's Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee. He is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of BlackRock's key operating units including Investment Strategies, Client Businesses, Technology & Operations, and Risk & Quantitative Analysis. Mr. Kapito is also a Director of iShares Inc.

Prior to assuming his current responsibilities in 2007, Mr. Kapito served as Head of BlackRock's Portfolio Management Group. Mr. Kapito earned a BS degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1979, and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1983.
