thoughful post, amazing too that the responsibility to individually save for times of hardship is not discussed. seems the assumption and expectation of society is it is ok to not have a nest egg and someon else should be respinsible to step in.
i will take what govt money i can get, but not sure i want to count on the gov to pay my bills.
not saving and spending all your earnings creates inflation in housing, etc. getting the biggest home yu can afford vs. getting the house you conservatively need.
a fren told a story her son lost a 200k job recently, cant payh is 2500 mortgage. while i live in a 60k house that i bought when i was making 150k a year, paying 240 a month mortgage.
people and society really consume more than they need for the most part, that is the expectation that occured when the family unit was destroyed by the cabal.
i learned to be cheap from my grandpa and every generation seems to have lost parental trust and exchanged it with bankers trust.
instead of what house do you really need when applying for mortgage becomes, lets see how much house you can afford.
