Honestly, this is NOT new. When I lived in China it was common. For example, when there was a hold placed on any products from China, they would simply ship said products to other countries like Singapore - the noted Vietnam - Laos, Cambodia, any local area country that was not under any hold for any products. China corporations/gov't entities would set up a shipping office in those countries, send the goods to them and the products would be unpacked and then repacked into different packaging with the attendant origin altered.

Japan did it as well. When electronic components from China were put on hold, Japan companies building their products in China (and actually stating the product was Made In Japan because a widget was made in Japan and inserted into a tv or whatever) and then the entire product was labeled Made In Japan and then shipped to Singapore, repackaged, and in many cases, then shipped BACK to China and sold at exorbitant prices! Similar to America companies that have their products assembled in sweat shops staffed by laborers from other countries in Asia including China who have had their passports seized by the company to keep them as slaves, in the Mariana Islands or Guam or somewhere but then labeling the product Made In USA.

Believe me, this is common - fuc*ed as shit, but very, very common.

In this case though, it is more serious as there is no telling what banned goods shiftless shitf-for-brains has been smuggling into his Standard Hotel basement from China while the local port was OWNED by China.
