"Twitter on Thursday permanently suspended multiple social media accounts associated with Infowars, the controversial outlet helmed by right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Accounts used by three people affiliated with Infowars – Owen Shroyer, Rob Dew and Harrison H. Smith – were among those scrubbed from Twitter, the social media service confirmed.

Twitter also purged an account associated with Banned.Video, a website that hosts streaming footage of “The Alex Jones Show,” “War Room with Owen Shroyer” and other programs made under the Infowars umbrella""

"Texans flocked to the state’s Capitol in Austin to protest Covid-19 lockdown measures, refusing to practice social distancing and cheering for Dr. Anthony Fauci to be fired by President Donald Trump.

In attendance at Saturday’s ‘You Can’t Close America’ Rally were InfoWars founder Alex Jones and host Owen Shroyer, who led the crowd of some 200 people in chants against the mainstream media and officials like Fauci.

Shroyer, who referred to the doctor as “fascist Fauci,” asked the crowd: “Do you think Anthony Fauci should be fired?”, before leading them in chants of “Fire Fauci.”"

"CONSPIRACY theorist Alex Jones has compared coronavirus stay at home orders to Nazi Germany.

The controversial host, known as the founder of the InfoWars website, made the claims today as he addressed a "You Can’t Close America" demonstration in Austin, Texas.

About 200 protestors defied social distancing rules this afternoon to mass in front of the Texas Capitol to call for lifting of the lockdown.

The rally was organized by Infowars, owned by Jones, who joined protesters on the Capitol steps after arriving on his Infowars "tank".

Along with the protestors, he compared Texas Gov Greg Abbott’s lockdown orders to tyranny.

He said: "Don’t let them tell you like the Nazis did that you are not essential

"You are essential. America is essential.

"And this is 21st century war attempting to shut us down and Texas is leading the way against these tyrants.""
