Notable, I do like the old news stories about Quinine.

It makes their arguments seem stupider and stupider with each increasing article.

Hydroxychloroquine is, basically, the latest version of this much beloved, legendary drug, and our own government, or parts of it, seem to be tearing it down. And their solution is, basically nothing. If they were saying, yes, but this other thing works better, that would be one thing. What they're saying is there is nothing, everything that's proposed is nothing, even hall of fame drugs like team Q, that are working, and the plan is starve, die, and wait for a vaccine.

Anti-Malarial Drug: Tryptophan Deficiency May Underlie Quinine Side Effects

Researchers have found that the anti-malarial drug quinine can block a cell's ability to take up the essential amino acid tryptophan, a discovery that may explain many of the adverse side-effects associated with quinine. Once confirmed, these findings would suggest that dietary tryptophan supplements could be a simple and inexpensive way to improve the performance of this important drug.
