Is congress in total violation of the law? They adjourned for an Easter "recess" hoping to force Trump to illegally use Executive Orders to deal with virus crisis….and giving them a legitimate and valid reason for removing him from office. However…Trump invoked the War Powers Act and declared a national emergency instead. That action requires congress to immediately meet in emergency session to deal with the crisis…..which they are refusing to do. That means congress is not only in violation of the law…but also they have violated their oath of office, and abandoned their posts during a national emergency.

Congress is playing games (checkers) instead of addressing these important issues. By only taking a "recess", they had hoped to force Trump to illegally use Executive Orders to deal with the virus crisis. That would have been legal grounds for immediate impeachment and removal from office….it would have stuck, even with the senate and the Supreme Court. However, Trump invoked the war powers act and declared a national emergency instead (chess). It caught congress completely off guard…..and now they are sitting at home suddenly in violation of the law and their oath of office.

Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution will be used very soon for the first time in our nation's history…..and it will be perfectly legal.
