In February, when the federal government wanted to utillize the extra space at Fairview Developmenal center (former state hospital) to quarantine the cruise ship patients, the Costa Mesa city council got a restraining order to stop it. Late March they were allowing the facility to care for Wuhan Flu patients.

Though their duty was to assist with non-covid from hospitals, the USNS Mercy servicemembers are willing to go help those in need - because they care. God Bless and Good Health.
