Basically this. They attempt to avoid karma by 'announcing' or revealing their intentions before hand, that way when they follow-through with those intentions they can say you were given 'fair warning' and that you de-facto accepted their intentions by doing nothing to stop them. This is of course a load of bullshit, but trying to convince someone who worships lies and deceit that they've been lied to is a really big time sink more than anything.
