Colorado's "legalization" merely set up the laws to expedite Pharma takeover of the most lucrative bits of the market. Growing one's own, organic, non-genetically-modified weed is illegal unless you go the begging-government-for-permission route, limiting yourself to six plants, growing them under lock and key INDOORS, allowing surprise inspections at any time, and - of course - paying astronomical taxes… all for the "privilege" of "legally" growing weeds. BTW, Pharma objects when people seek permission to grow the lower-THC varieties which are closer to the original natural weeds.
