>>8860059 Harvard law prof wants to ban homeschooling; will hold a conference about it in June 2020

(Prof. Elizabeth Bartholet) Harvard - Self-Appointed = 'Gatekeeper'/'Arbiter' of = [DS Education "Law"]

"The Risks of Homeschooling"

Here's a well articulated counterpoint to [Bartholet's] authoritarian screed.

Alex is a graduate of Harvard Law School, and yes, he was homeschooled K-12. His response to Harvard Magazine / Elizabeth Bartholet’s anti-homeschooling stance is absolutely phenomenal.

(Points he makes about most homeschoolers - I've seen same from friend's homeschooled children)

  • They have moar freedom to explore for themselves.

  • They learn how to learn for themselves.

  • Their learning takes directions of curiosity & interests etc…

→ This process causes them to learn how to: THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

Too much for me to duplicate. Well worth the read.

Bottom Line: What he identifies is the (#1) problem the [DS] & their 'Gatekeepers' like [Bartholet] are afraid of with HomeSchooling:

Most HomeSchoolers: ESCAPE [THEIR] CONTROL & PROGRAMMING

(notable excert Alex's post)

""We had no television, went to the doctor and dentist only occasionally, and some of my siblings were birthed at home and didn't get social security numbers. Our family did not register with the state or comply with annual testing requirements. By every metric, we are the people Professor Bartholet would outlaw."
