RENTON, Wash. — On Monday, the Renton City Council will vote on the idea of recruiting a coronavirus vaccine manufacturing facility.

Even though there's no vaccine ready, city leaders said they're positioning themselves as a possible site to let companies know they'll work with them to make it happen.

The city says it has a long history of manufacturing with Boeing and growing health care and tech sectors.

Renton's mayor says he wants the world to know they’d welcome a manufacturer.

“There are so many reasons why this made sense, we figured this is a great opportunity. Go out there and put our name in the hat as one of the premiere sites to start this, and not wait for someone to come calling,” said Renton Mayor Armondo Parvone.

The city says large corporate spaces like Southport on Lake Washington are ready for new companies to move in.

A vote from Renton’s City Council will happen at their virtual meeting at 7 p.m.

> I am no shill, what i am is disappointed.

I am not a shill either and also have been here since day one on half chan.

But not a lurker or first time poster.

Many have had disappointments though all of this

It's tough waiting and watching.

It takes a leap of faith.

It is hard for all of us Patriots right now, particularly those in Blue / Cabal controlled states.

My disappointment is not in Q, but seeing people I made aware of Q walking away, saying the board is just shills and trash and toxic.

Anons need to stand together, particularly in this trying time

I believe in POTUS and I believe it will all work out in the end.

de Blasio

The world is watching.

We are the epicenter of the crisis and too often we're fighting this battle alone. We haven't hesitated. We need the Federal Government to do the same.

Mr. President, when the airline industry was in trouble you gave them $58 billion. But when cities and states are pleading for help you're silent. The world is watching. Say the word and the Senate will act. Without aid, our city won't recover — and neither will the country.

This crisis is like nothing we've ever seen. No one knows how this will go but we CAN say that this crisis has an end point.

Are New Yorkers strong enough, tough enough and resilient enough to get to that point? The answer is yes.

And I have no doubt we'll make it.
