Nurse anon here, we used to use the big hospital ventilators, now the army provided us with small ventilators that work in the same manner and we got more than enough, they changed the intubation regimen so less people are getting intubated

We also got army doctors and army nurses helping us which is great

In the beginning we were told that the state will build ventilators from other machines that are used for sleep apnea and the likes but it never happened

We just use the small ones and they are good to go

Medical supplies are finishing fast because in the past only nurses/doctors use to wear gloves/masks and PPE, now you walk into a hospital and every single personal is wearing this, from the security, clerks, janitors, and social workers and others and others, and this in international

Also you have people in the street who are mandated to wear masks and are scared so they are wearing gloves too

Also we had a spike in the emergency department because every person that sneezed or was out of breath just came in so lots of supplies were used
