"This band is currently populated by microwave services that are used to support utilities, public safety and wireless backhaul," Pai said in September of 2019. "But studies have shown that sharing this band with unlicensed operations is feasible, and can put massive amounts of new spectrum into the hands of consumers."
RFanon here with plenty of experience in 6GHz microwave shots for public safety agencies.
I can attest the above statement is false. Intruding into the frequencies in use by microwave at 6GHz with wifi raises the entire noise floor, which decreases the signal to noise ratio, weakening the link.
Already been through it. FCC said "well we're a regulatory agency not an enforcement agency".
Oh, ok, so who does enforcement?
"Uh, I dont have any information on that".
So all the agencies have to change out their microwave radios to different frequencies, and we taxpayers get to pay for their little game of RF hide the weenie.
