Anjunabeats is the name of the record label that is founded under Above & Beyond. They've also got a sub label called Anjunadeep. Anjunabeats is the main label that A&B uses to promote their own music as well as other artist/producers. Its usually mainly what is classified as "Trance" music and sometimes "Progressive". Anjunadeep is mostly for music that is classified as "Deep House". Most DJ's/ Producers tend to form their own record label as the electronic music industry is mainly an independent scene.

I'd say that generally, the electronic music industry itself tends to always separate themselves away from mainstream pop music.
I'd say this much though, most people in this scene is very well aware of what is and has been going on over the past 2 decades.
