we as christians see other deities as either human inventions , demons or the devil

I would presume theres a chance many of old timey deities that made people slit their wrists or kill their babies or kill the elderly were demonic

the running idea is that being as hell is something of a unified paramilitary group their tactics change with the times, I e if demons exist and want to draw us away from God, it would be in their interest to (among the superstitious and ancient) require human sacrifices and among the modern and scientific foster doubt about God instead of directly terrifying people thus proving their (and by extension Gods) existence.

so trying to tell the difference between molech, baal, satan, etc, is blurry at best
