Three-year temporary work visas with renewals set the expectation of both visa holders AND their sponsoring corporations of an automatic path to Green Cards AND US citizenship.

That's not meant to be the purpose of a temporary work visa.

It's visa fraud and abuse.

Reducing temporary work visas to one year from three years AND limiting annual renewals to one-third of the renewal application volume AND capping total temporary work visa duration at three years eliminates 66% in the first year, 89% in the second year and 100% after the third year.

And three years isn't really long enough to get a a Green Card. Ration those too or they'll use looser Green Card rules to get us back to the same visa fraud and abuse.

This simple change exposes the fraud and creates a paperwork engine that eliminates it.
