A radiobiology research facility in the DC area once tried to duplicate "burns" from a CT scanner using pigs. Scientists anesthetized the pic and used an industrial x-ray generator to expose, through a collimated beam, a 6"x6" area of the pig to 400Kv @ 100mA for 24hrs, continuous exposure. The wound could not be duplicated with this method and the pig was subsequently euthanized.
