Maybe medical people in your area are less shitty, but I've had family almost die because of their fucking negligence. More interested in bullshitting in the breakroom. On a CCU floor. They expect for other family to work non-stop as surrogate nursemaids on their behalf. Got told "I have patients who are sicker than you" as the excuse for them barely showing up or explaining anything. Had IV's and drains ripped out that left permanent tissue damage. Re-admittance because they take the drains out too soon. Stinky breath and body odors enough to make a sick person gag in bed. People that barely speak English. Overweight nurses preaching to you about your improper eating habits. I could go on and on. 20 years of bullshit. They were better at one time for damn sure, but not now. I don't envy people in the medical professions, it's generally hard work, yes, but they are not worthy of automatic respect. It must be earned. Problem is, they don't work on tips.
