That coronavirus study that CNN is salivating over looks pretty bad to me. I went ahead and printed it( 27 pages!) and I may be sorry I wasted the paper. The study is retrospective, so it should not be confused with a controlled clinical trial. Despite describing the use of many stastistical techniques, it is not clear to me how the authors could.be sure they weren't comparing apples to oranges regarding the underlying characteristics of the treatment groups.

I think a couple.of the authors may have conflicts of interest.
