How Adam Schiff secretly thwarted efforts to bring transparency in Russia probe==

Democrat demanded DNI keep evidence from Trump, holds transcripts that were supposed to be made public.

In late September 2018 with a mid-year election approaching, the often bitterly divided House Intelligence Committee forged a rare bipartisan moment: Its Republican and Democratic members voted to make public the transcripts of 53 witnesses in the Russia collusion investigation.

But what was hailed as an act of transparency has not been fulfilled 19 months later, even though U.S intelligence has declassified and cleared the transcripts for release.

The answer why lies in the backroom dealings of Adam Schiff, the committee’s top Democrat and its current chairman, according to interviews and memos obtained by Just the News.

Shortly after Schiff took over from Republican Rep. Devin Nunes as chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) in 2019, he sent a letter to the office of then-Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.

The letter obtained by Just the News specifically ordered that the witness transcripts — some of which contained exculpatory evidence for President Trump’s team — not be shared with Trump or White House lawyers even if the declassification process required such sharing.

“Under no circumstances shall ODNI, or any other element of the Intelligence Community (IC), share any HPSCI transcripts with the White House, President Trump or any persons associated with the White House or the President,” Schiff wrote in a March 26, 2019 letter to then-Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.

“Such transcripts remain the sole property of HPSCI, and were transmitted to ODNI for the limited purpose of enabling a classification review by IC elements and the Department of Justice,” Schiff added.

U.S. intelligence officials said Schiff’s request made it impossible for them to declassify 10 of the transcripts, mostly of current and former White House and National Security Council witnesses, because White House lawyers would have had to review them for what is known as “White House equities" and presidential privileges.

But 43 of the transcripts were declassified and cleared for public release and given to Schiff's team, but they have never been made public despite the committee’s vote to do so, officials said.

The World Health Organization has warned that a “new way of living” will be needed until a coronavirus vaccine is ready.

Takeshi Kasai, the WHO’s regional director for the Western Pacific, has said that lifting lockdown measures too quickly will leave countries vulnerable to new surges of infections.

The body has urged governments to lift social distancing measures gradually, to keep the deadly bug in check.

Speaking at an online press conference, Dr Kasai added that no country is safe from a potentially overwhelming outbreak if Covid-19 is still circulating.

As a result, ordinary people’s lives and health systems will both need to adapt because of the global pandemic.

The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday a second wave of coronavirus next winter could be 'even more difficult'.

Robert Redfield warned the 'assault on our nation' could potentially be 'even more difficult than the one we just went through'.

He told The Washington Post: 'And when I've said this to others, they kind of put their head back, they don't understand what I mean.'

Redfield issued his bleak assessment after labeling anti lockdown protests and calls to liberate states by President Donald Trump as 'not helpful'.

He also said an 'alternative workforce' of Census Bureau workers, Peace Corps and AmeriCorps volunteers could be used as contact tracers in the coming months.

Earlier today, we reported that over 80 publicly listed companies tapped the PPP - which is really a grant if used to pay wages - which not surprisingly ran out of funds just days after it was launched. The most prominent public company to take the funds was Shake Shack, which sparked backlash after receiving $10 million in PPP funds through JPMorgan. Sensing pitchforks in its its immediate future, the company announced on Monday that it would be returning the funds. It then sold 3.4 million shares of stock raising $136MM in gross proceeds.

Another company which tapped into the PPP was Ohio-based biotech Athersys, which received $1 million through the program despite raising nearly $60 million in a Monday stock offering after its shares have nearly doubled YTD. Meanwhile Nikola Motor - backed by Fidelity and hedge fund ValueAct, announced a $4 billion valuation in early March when it announced a merger with VectoIQ. The company borrowed $4 million from the PPP according to a disclosure. Ruth's Chris steakhouse made $42 million in profit on $468 million in revenue last year, yet tapped $20 million from the PPP.

The figure below lists the 40 largest PPP loans that inexplicably went not to small businesses but to major corporations which not only have access to institutional debt capital markets - unlike most mom and pop shops - but can also sell stock and raise cash overnight, a luxury that America's small business - which employ over half the US labor force -do not have.

Highly Decorated D.A.R.E. Cop Arrested for Running an Enormous Child Porn Ring

Beavercreek, OH — The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program should better be called an hilarious exercise in how not to convince kids to keep away from substances the state deems illegal. As cops hopped on their high horses and had children pledge not to do drugs, the rate of drug use skyrocketed — thrusting the country into one of the worst drug epidemics in human history. The hypocrisy by the cops who pushed the D.A.R.E. program has been well-documented over the years, explaining, at least in part, as to why the program was such a failure from the start. Now, another cop who pushed kids to ‘just say no’ has been arrested and accused of disturbing criminal activity.

Parents whose children participated in the D.A.R.E. program in Beavercreek, Colorado now need to question their children who may have had contact with former Beavercreek police officer Kevin A. Kovacs. On Thursday, Kovacs, 58, was arrested at his home for unspeakable crimes against children.

Kovacs stands accused of producing, distributing, receiving, transporting and possessing child pornography on a massive scale.

“Kevin A. Kovacs, a former longtime Beavercreek police officer, was arrested this morning on federal charges of producing, distributing, receiving, transporting and possessing child pornography,” said U.S. Attorney David M. DeVillers. “Additionally, Kovacs is charged with tampering with a witness or informant, according to the statement from the US Attorney’s office in the Southern District of Ohio.

Kovacs appeared in federal court at 1:30pm Thursday and was scheduled to appear again at 1:30pm Friday for a detention hearing. This investigation remains ongoing.”

Less than two years before this cop was arrested for running a child porn ring, Officer Kovacs received the “Law Enforcement Officer of the Year” Award. When presented with the honor, the Beavercreek police department praised him for his work with young children.

Cop Hired After Admitting to Child Rape, Arrested for Running Child Sex Ring with Teacher Wife

Livingston, LA — As TFTP reported late last year, a high level Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy — who commanded the SWAT team — and his wife, were indicted on more than 150 felonies for unspeakable crimes against children and animals. Dennis Perkins, 44, and and his wife Cynthia Perkins, 34, are accused of multiple counts of child rape and the production of child pornography, among other disturbing charges. As if this cop/teacher child rape case couldn’t get any worse, new documents filed on Monday lay out, in graphic detail, even more heinous acts by these disgusting individuals.

The new filing, known as a 404(B), was filed Monday, April 20th with the Livingston Parish Clerk of Court. It describes incidents in which Dennis Perkins used his position as a cop to film up the skirts and down the shirts of women he would pull over. It also details over five terabytes of encrypted data containing videos of horrifying acts with children including Cynthia holding down a small child while Dennis raped her.

What’s more, according to the court filings, Dennis Perkins should have never been hired to be a cop because he admitted to heinous crimes before getting the job. As WAFB reports, the new court filing includes a job application from 1998 to the Baton Rouge Police Department where Dennis allegedly admitted to several crimes including prostitution, sex with a minor and drug use. The BRPD hiring board at that time voted unanimously not to hire Dennis. He was a reserve deputy with LPSO when he applied for that job.

However, he would later go on to be hired to a full time position and rise up through the ranks of the LPSO where he would eventually command the entire SWAT division.

As TFTP reported in October, the Perkins were arrested after a months-long criminal probe headed up by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office. Then in December, a grand jury indicted Dennis Perkins on 78 felonies and his wife, Cynthia Perkins, on 72 felonies — involving sex acts against children under the age of 13, “two non-consenting adults, various unsuspecting victims by means of ingesting harmful substances and an animal,” according to court filings. The indictment also includes 61 counts of producing child pornography.
