It's not God; that's the problem.
What sacrifices did Jeshua bring to the temple? What did Jeshua do at the temple istead? He taught against their old practices. He taught how each could have their own direct relationship with God. He taught the principles of love and forgiveness, while acknowledging the law was a barometer for sin. Not once did Christ speak about what sacrifice to bring to the temple, how to prepare the sacrifices brought, or which animals pleased God the most.
For overthrowing their power structure over the minds of the people he came to save, they had Him sacrificed (murdered) to fulfill their lust for power and control. Jesus spoke life, not death. The only sacrifice that has ever been demanded of Christians is that of their old, sinful self.
If God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then why change His mind on sacrifice? I challenge the belief that God would have ever required it to begin with. It serves no purpose. But what god has demanded blood? What god has made a mockery of all forms of worship of the true God?
