The low level guys in the blue lodges aren't bad… they don't know what the guys in the top of the pyramid are up to. They just get together, have their dumb ceremony, then go drink beer.
I'm not brainwashed. I got in to lodge just to see what my grandfather used to talk about. Then when I saw the symbolism they used, I decided to gtfo. As a christian, it didn't feel right to me so I left.
I am no longer beholden to my oath. It's silly anyway. In the low levels all the so called "secrets of freemasonry" can be found on google. It's really just a bunch of older guys getting together and having a good time. I just know my symbolism well and started to figure out there was something "not so great" underlying.
That's the catholic church though. I can't really say the catholic church is strictly "christian" as it has pagan undertones and directly contradicts the gospel.
