Something about the temple on Epstein's island has been nagging at me, seeming familiar.

I've been looking at architecture and symbols and the closest I have been able to find is in the Maya and Aztec civilizations.

Their temples were pyramids with steps going up to the top where there was a small square building. Many representations that I saw showed vertical stripes on the building.

Now Epstein's temple is atop a hill, so the pyramid could be considered to be underground.

Also, the images around the temple look a lot like mesoamerican religious symbols.

And the Aztecs and Mayas both practiced human sacrifice.

The symbols don't look particularly Mesoamerican but I didn't see anything from Africa that resembled the architecture or symbols other than domes on mosques.

I think this photo may be from one of the resort buildings on the island. It doesn't look like the front of the temple.
