Hey, for real, Anons?
You've been with me cracking jokes and digging through so many long, dark nights. I've probably spoken to some of you dozens or hundreds of times without learning your names. Some of you I've probably been having exchanges with for years now. And if you're a veteran Anon? Maybe much longer.
You've made me laugh so hard it hurt. You've called me out on my bullshit when I've made an ass of myself. You've made me sharper and more dedicated and thorough and principled than I was, and probably less of a douche. You've probably changed me for the better. .
This really is a war. With high stakes. As much as we goof around here, the fact is that we're playing a role in the fight for the fate of the planet.
I've been privileged to work with you guys for a common purpose of unimaginable importance.
The point is, I think it's fair to call you guys my friends. I sincerely love you guys, however much a person can love a bunch of Anonymous strangers.
