for those worrying about lack of food

More closures at U.S. meat, pork processing plants amid coronavirus, shortages still not expected

That said, if there are shortages for a bit, maybe it will cure normies of turning up their nose at food in it's normal.state. Consumers have become so accustomed to unblemished fruit, humongous chicken legs, etc etc - all owing to pesticides, insecticides, hormones and who knows what all else - that they cringe at an apple with a bug bite on it or a brown spot. Food, in it's natural state, will be flawed or small, but has 10 times the taste of engineered food.

From experience: it takes a great deal of time to grow and process one's own food. It a huge amount of work as well. I'm not knocking it; I've done it and lived it a good part of my life, but honestly, for those who have never done it, that is all one would be doing. It takes up a great deal of time to produce enough to sustain a family with no other food source, and all but impossible for someone who lives in the city.

That said, relax. Stop fear mongering. POTUS has said all along the food supply is safe. Maybe this will spur multiple farmers markets in every city and town with fresh yard eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, etc. Meat and seafood markets with certified organic. Fresh dairy allowed to be sold at farmer's markets. Many dont allow it. People may still have to buy their food but at least they will know where it comes from. Organic should cost LESS than frankenfood.

Spurring people to grow all their own induces fear. If they can do it, great, but most city people do not have a tractor or plow. Sure, small bits of produce can be produced in a back yard and everybody should try it if they wish. The taste is outstanding, but it is putting a worry burden on people when it's floated that they will have to produce all their own food.all

Stop it. Fearmongering.
