Pence actually looks very fatigued, one eye open more than the other, slow to open again after blinking. He also looks like there is something in the background (situation, not the dais) that is much more serious.

He's wearing the same tie as yesterday, too.

Usually he has an impenetrable poker face, but not so much today. Even the sides of his mouth were down, not smooth.

I'm not a Pence-hater or doubter but that is my observation.

 

I think the presser was cut short to address something else going on, and of course as also a big FU to the mockingbirds.

Interestingly enough, flaws in crystal growth occur due to response from very subtle effects of celestial movements. NASA has been doing experiments on growing crystals in space to try to understand why that happens and what those subtle influences are (and maybe they affect humans or other things, like nuclear explosions) and why it is so.
