1983 Bertha at the Providence Civic Center. Listen for the crowd at the start, you can hear them.

the live tapes that tapers made were real and authentic and often sound much much better that what came out of the mixing board.

in 1983 they were at a height and were doing this East Coast hop tour.

the whole place would be on their feet!

Providence was early in the year.

And this was before the sell-out that happened when the In The Dark album came out and people started coming because they saw it on MTV.

Donald is tired. He's been on it full time for two months. He's too tired to realize that he's repeating himself sometimes.

but here is the deal: its because he's working so hard for us!

and what do they do? no matter what they smear him and treat him like he's aloser and bad.

but we know that is what bad people do to good people who are weary and needing a break. the bad ones never let up, never see that this is the hero, weary after great battle, the one who is saving their world for them, but they say 'oh, no, we can't have this, he shows us how we are wrong., we must destroy him'.

but those who love POTUS know, and we are many, that POTUS is working for us, always has, always will.

and he wants to save them too, to have them love him, but they can't because they are broken.

we can. We do.

give me shit for saying we if you want to but one of the things that seems common here is that verymany of us LOVE Donald. and we know that he is OUR PRESIDENT!

Bless you Donald Trump for being so tireless.

when you need to, please rest.

Gathering Together is a common and human apex of societies of the highest culture. It's not wrong or demonic to gather for dancing, singing, chanting, music, and also for worship and meditation.

however, if the leaders of it are bad people, one can see that there might be issues.

It sounds like a gate keeper thing to say 'oh we don't support a gathering'

the latest form of it is, of course, the very powerful Trump Rallies.

The Deadshow was what it was in the early 1980s.

or even this place, we gather here. This is a gathering too.

trying to tell the History, not give talking points.

yes, in California they were a 'whatever'.

but by 1980 they were huge with East Coast people who made their shows into a gathering of people in a kind of prayer for a btter future: living the real deal of caring and having connections across the world with like minded posative people from all across the world.

it escaped all the Manhattan people and the 'big name' insiders in the 'entertainment' industry.

they didn't want the deadhead thing to be bigger and more meaningful than what they did on Broadway, but it was.

ignoring the movement that wasn't a movement, the party that wasn't really a party, the community that was real!, ignoring that is basically ignoring our History.

you cant ry to throw it into the dust bin, but what happens keeps going around. The Spirit of good things finds an unlikely place or person on whom to settle. It was the deadheads then. it was the early 1980s'. It was good.

The deadshows, especially the east coast non-california ones, were important focuses of activity for a lot of very good people.

even JFK jr was one who would go to shows.

Well, you can stay ignorant or you can learn history.

Ask people in their mid 50's about it.

two ways to investigate this with two different kinds of conjecture about this.

how do we 'know' when they speak to us directly?

if you believe that they do they are probably the ones who tell us about themselves.

if you think it's just a story then you probably say 'people either make up this story, or theyhear it from someone else.'

your question is a fun one, as it demonstrates that what we bring to a discussion has so very very much to do with what we get or gather (take away) from that same discussion.

the answer to your querry of 'where' is something that people do keep to themselves if they do believe that they have 'talking to' by . . . the people who do that talk.

if you think it's but a fable, you have to have one conclusion. if you are spoken to, you know to deny it.

so the answer is often also what they think you want to hear.

no one is ever going to really give you the truth about these topics because they feel a sense of vulnerability unless . . .

it's just like if you meet someone and they want to hear what you really think about their people. and it's a rediculous request.

are you not one of my people? I thought we were brothers?

but they betray themselves.

I want to point out a bit of irony that occurs to me when I defend the idea of the good people of the story of the deadheads and The Grateful Dead.

We love the people who we grew up with often more than seems normal to others who see the 'dark side' of 'dark people', not having known them at all, or even tried to dance with them, or take them for a weekend to a show.

So we say 'what was this, how did this get here, what do we throw away, you must throw it all away because there were people with deeply flawed stuff going on in their personal lives, so reject all the good, all the benefits, because of that or those people's stated flaws, as if there is no love or redemptive spirit that goes home eventually.

then look for the man's name who shows up on each page at the bottom in a disclosure part and ask, 'that bratty little-bee-atcche, been maybe spamming this board . . . for what, cause we gather here.'

of that wheel bound hot-head wheel. But we pray for him instead.

We don't throw away the story of him or demand that we abandon the good that he did, making these boards and the method of posting that has become a mud-fest and constant vigil for Justice . . .

blah blah blah.

We keep what is good and continue with good things for the future.

This picture made a twit here angry one night and he/she put bear heads on two of the people in it, ignoring the obvious parody quality of it, as an expression of camp-love.

if this picture makes you angry please do not respond to me but try to see the humor here.
