Yes, it does at first glance look like there’s something ‘funny’ with the huge horizontal sundials cast shadow and the shadows of the palms. However if you take a mere moment to think about it the palm trees are naturally vertical while the gnomon of the sundial is at an acute angle of somewhere around 45 - 60 degrees. It’s the dark line over the top of the stone while its cast shadow is the line to the right of it.

I expect Epstein had the sundial custom designed and calibrated for the location to be as accurate as possible

Why is the gnomon over the top of the stone? So that when the sun reaches midday the shadow will always fall directly upon the sacrificial victim laid out the flat stone beneath.

(Using an old protractor on the screen for the sake of it I get ~13 - 14 degrees between the two dark lines which is close to the required magnetic declination for the area.)

Also the two boulders in the intersection appear to be the same type of rock as the sundial stone.

The second image has information on the magnetic variation/declination of the US Virgin Islands as it applies to the sundials orientation along with other general sundial information.

One post >890365 with the spiral shells and the E (187_Site_E.jpg) says that it's a moon cult but I believe it may have a bit of ‘everything’. The sundial for a 12pm Sun worship sacrifice. The shells, if this is so as I haven't researched it, for a Moon sacrifice. The temple and what's possibly beneath for Moloch? The compass for?

As far as ‘Where do roads lead?’ if that’s applied to Epsteins ‘Orgy Island’ as the locals call it then I’d say the sundial.

Also, not sure yet as I have yet to find and compare some old vs new Google Maps images of LSJ but the central tennis court may also turn out to be very important.

The third image I downloaded awhile ago from somewhere, perhaps here but I can't remember now. It was alleged that there's also a portable 'full size' cow statue on the island which now appears to be in some posted images. Maybe it’s a real cow, maybe not. Maybe it’s a mirrored feminine version of the Brazen Bull? Who knows?
