The Chair stays. The Pope in the Chair does not, usually through death they are gone from the Chair. Very similar in how the White House stays but the Presidency changes just to make it a bit better to understand. If the Pope is evil as is suspect, that's on the human side of the Catholic Church. The Church is the Mystical Body of Christ- Her divine side. The human side have been treacherous and decietful-just like Judas during Christ's time. We as humans are continually in need of help, if a Pope you are not exempt. No matter, this Pope requires our prayers.
I understand your anger. But he is a human that will one day face Judgement. No matter how awful a person is, you pray for them, for their soul. No one is beyond saving while alive. That presumes there is not such thing as hope. Hope lives always.
