The President seems to love his argumentative and chaotic press briefing room performances, but I don’t know how they help him, his agenda or the office if the president.
Not that it matters, but he should never attend press briefings in the small hallway meeting room.
Hold them in the White House main hall or in the larger rooms on the first floor. Repurpose the current room and the press offices back to a hallway to the West Wing. Assign seating randomly and nobody close or directly in front of the president.
If the WHCA doesn’t like it, invite others to attend. Tell them to go to hell.
Invite the press for major briefings once a month or quarter and only onto the White House grounds for the event itself.
Hold sit down interviews On camera with select individual professional reporters more frequently. He does very well in these.
No other government in the world has their press next to the leader’s office. It’s too tempting for the foreign-influences press to not abuse.
