"Sin" was the name given to the moon "god" in "ancient" Mesopotamia. Many tales tell of a time before the moon was visible in our sky. Origins, not "legends". Prior to the moon colliding into Earth's atmosphere, our planet may have been a tidally locked body, orbiting a completely different "sun" than the one we know have, today. From my understanding, conditions on Earth were very different, and life was likely much easier, which is why "Sin" is often associated with "the downfall of mankind"…
