If I understand correctly, one of the things hydroxychloroquine does is reduce "viral load". This suggests to me that if this virus is actually transmissible between people, then early use or even prophylacric use would vastly inhibit the spread of said virus. I have personally used malaria prophylaxis as a child so I am not any more afraid of HCQ than any other man made pharmaceutical. I think the massive disinformation campaign against HCQ is based on the fact that a low.cost drug that will prevent serious morbidity and mortality upsets plans for contact tracing and mandated vaccines.
