StPaul also wanted to evangelize the Jews, only..he (StPaul) tried and it didn't work out for him..it took him some time ~ about 12-15 years, before his (StPaul's) first missionary journey, from the time StPaul was blinded on the road to Damascus. StPaul was a LARP, with the Holy Spirit by his side; the greatest Christian evangelist and church-builder, ever.

StPeter received a vision of a vessel & a sheet occupied by all sorts of 'unclean' animals. GOD told StPeter to eat. StPeter understood that he (StPeter) was also to bear witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and of HIS Resurrection to the Gentiles [Acts Chap 10]
