What's with the elite and art? Modern art in particular? Is it that valuations are very subjective and art is therefore a useful money laundering vehicle? It's very easy to bid up/inflate the value of an art work - only needs two "opposing" (or not) bidders and a worthless daub of paint becomes worth millions. There's something really fishy about the art valuations world….
