About the same time I got really sick after visiting the bay area (I know more north but that's how they spread)
Also, I heard rumors here in NorCali that a bunch of college kids from LA area were bused up here to the university in Eureka and they ended up contaminating the college kids here with c0vid-19. Then all of a sudden we're all getting infected here. Seems NorCali didn't yet have the immunity. Now in Eureka and all of Humboldt county masks are mandatory in public.
