Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson will return to work at the start of this week, according to reports Sunday just hours after it was announced that the UK’s coronavirus death toll had passed the “tragic” milestone of 20,000.
The Press Association said Johnson would be back in his Downing Street office on Monday after himself recovering from the virus.
A Number 10 source quoted by Sky News said the 55-year-old was “raring to go”. Johnson has been recuperating at the British prime ministerial retreat, Chequers, outside London since his release from hospital on April 12
Johnson spent three days in intensive care and later admitted “things could have gone either way”, after contracting the virus.

On April 11, General Joseph E. Johnston, commander of the Army of Tennessee learned that General Robert E. Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia had surrendered to General Grant at Appomattox.
To Johnston, that was devastating news. He and Lee knew that any hope that the South had for continuing the war, hinged on their two forces linking up near the North Carolina-Virginia state line. Johnston, who still commanded over 90,000 troops, however, was now outnumbered by his enemy by 18 to 1.

A cyber security report debunks the accusation that the Trump campaign and Vladimir Putin were communicating secretly via Alfa Bank servers
A report released Friday by top cyber-security experts concludes, as did Special Counsel Robert Mueller, that the 2016 Trump presidential campaign did not secretly communicate with the Russian government via a computer server belonging to Russia’s Alfa Bank.
In the report by the cyber consulting firm Ankura, cyber experts determined that the communication from Alfa Bank to servers on the U.S. East Coast were going to a company that runs marketing activities for several global hotel chains, including, for a number of years, the Trump Hotels - not servers owned or operated by the Trump campaign.
Mueller, when asked during a hearing in the summer of 2019 about allegations that Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin were exchanging covert communications via the Alfa Bank server, said, “I believe it’s not true.”

At least 17 people, including 12 rangers were killed on Friday in an attack in Virunga National Park, a Unesco World Heritage site in the restive east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, an official said.

Besides the 12 park rangers, a driver and four other civilians were killed in the attack in Goma, for which no person or group has claimed responsibility, the governor of the Nord Kivu province said in a statement.

It said that civilians were the apparent target of the attack.
The guards were killed "while coming to help a civilian vehicle which had come under fire by the assailants," the statement said.
Virunga is a UNESCO-listed site which is spread over 7,800 square kilometres (3,000 square miles) over the borders of DR Congo, Rwanda and Uganda.

US, Iraq to negotiate American withdrawal from country: report
BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:10 P.M.) – A spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Abdul-Karim Khalaf, confirmed on Sunday that Iraq and the United States will discuss next June the setting of timetables for the complete withdrawal of American forces from the country.
Major General Khalaf said, in a statement with the Iraqi Al-Sabah newspaper, that “the decision to conduct negotiations comes in accordance with the decisions of the Iraqi Council of Representatives for the exit of the American forces, and that is with the agreement of the Iraqi and American parties, and that the security relationship between Iraq and the United States will continue in the framework of training operations and exchange of experiences even if the decision is implemented pulling out”.
He said that “the Iraqi government received a message from the American side, which was positive and included discussing the strategic relationship in all its forms between the two sides in detail,” stressing that “Iraq will discuss the withdrawal of foreign forces in a serious and detailed manner.”

President Donald Trump said the US Navy hospital ship Comfort would leave New York City as soon as possible after Gov. Andrew Cuomo said it was no longer needed in the city's fight against the coronavirus.
The USNS Comfort was deployed to New York City on March 30 to help the city's hospitals as they struggled with a tidal wave of coronavirus patients.
The Comfort's initial mission was to aid these hospitals by taking all noncoronavirus patients. But it turned out that there weren't many noncoronavirus patients to take, prompting criticism when it became known that only 20 patients were received on the 1,000-bed ship in its first day.
After the outrage, Cuomo asked the president to sign off on the ship taking coronavirus patients, to which Trump agreed.

After she refused to leave the playground, the police handcuffed her and took her to jail, from which she was released on bail. A small crowd protested her arrest.
Other protests have broken out across the United States this past week, with people calling for a reopening of their stores, businesses, and churches, and for a restoration of the Bill of Rights. Some Americans have applauded these demonstrators while others have hurled insults and threats at them.
On Fox News Tucker Carlson asked New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy about the arrests made in his state of 15 men at the funeral of a Jewish rabbi. “By what authority did you nullify the Bill of Rights in issuing this order?” he asked Murphy. “How do you have the power to do that?”
“That’s above my pay grade, Tucker,” Murphy replied. “I wasn’t thinking of the Bill of Rights when we did this.”
