You can bless water, oil and salt. Water and oil are typically used on people, but can be used on doorways and the like. Salt is great for large areas, inside or out. Water and oil physically only last a short while. Salt lasts a lot longer.
That is the physical part of the cleansing. Then there is the prayers said to cleanse, bless and protect. The instrument of God, truly has to be one. If it is, He wields God's power. It will be cleansed.
I was told about a home where some weird stuff was going on. Kids talking to "people" the parents couldn't see. They were afraid of their bedroom. The mom, who I knew, got grabbed in the ass while no one was in the room with her! Anyway, I studied, found the blessings, blessed the salt, oil and water and gave it to a friend to give to her as I had to prepare it and quickly and leave on vacation. When I got back and inquired, she told me it pretty much stopped when she walked into the the house with the blessed items. I never got any follow-up.
There's the only one other time I was involved in this sort of thing - much longer story that I won't go into except to say the guy had night terrors in his bedroom. Blessed the three items and for a time he was freed. But he went back to his old ways (drinking very heavily, so the terrors may be back). This stuff is not always going to be permanent, depending on circumstances and personalities.
