One Killed, Another Injured as India, Pakistan Engage in Massive Firefight at Border
New Delhi (Sputnik): India and Pakistan have long been loggerheads over the disputed territory of Kashmir with numerous instances of firefights and shelling, but the situation escalated in 2019 after dozens of Indian soldiers were killed in a vehicle-borne suicide bombing attack in Pulwama district.
A spokesman for the Pakistan Armed Forces, Major General Babar Iftikhar, has accused India of deliberately targeting civilians on 27 April.
According to Iftikhar, a woman died and an eight-year-old sustained injuries "in unprovoked ceasefire violations" by Indian troops in the Jandrot and Khuiratta Sectors along the Line of Control on Pakistan's side of Kashmir.

Lawyers 'Demand Phone Records' of Calls Between Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew
Earlier this month, The Sun reported that several individuals allegedly trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein may sue Prince Andrew after they get compensation from the late convicted paedophile’s estate.
Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged victims are demanding documents detailing "all texts or emails" and "calls in and calls out" between him and Prince Andrew, the Mirror reported on Sunday.
They have also demanded to know if Prince Andrew "engaged in any sexual act while at any of Jeffrey Epstein’s properties."
The demands have been made on behalf of an alleged victim known only as "Priscilla Doe," who claims that Epstein coerced her into performing sex acts with his friends after he had offered her help with her dancing career.
Commenting on the new demands a friend of the Prince dubbed the move a "cynical attempt by US law firms to keep their case in the public eye."
Last month, a prosecutor in New York said that Prince Andrew had refused to help US investigators in their inquiry into child sex trafficking as part of the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Prince Andrew has been accused by Virginia Giuffre, who says she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein, of having sex with her when she was 17 years old - an allegation he has consistently denied.

Public School Teacher Caught In Embarrassing Rant Aimed At Students Playing In Park:”I hope both of you the get coronavirus…I hope you both die a long, painful death!” [VIDEO]
It’s not natural for us to be locked down in our own homes and told we aren’t allowed to be social with other human beings. Most adults, however, have managed to get through this difficult time without screaming at kids in a local park, blaming them for the coronavirus pandemic.
The Trentonian reports – A math teacher at Steinert High School in New Jersey, was caught on video this week shouting at a group of teenagers playing football in the park.
The teacher was identified by multiple sources as Nicole Griggs, who has been a township teacher for the last 15 years and also taught middle school, according to the district website.
One of the teenagers, a freshman at Steinert, told The Trentonian that he and a group of school friends were playing football Thursday at the former Homedell School, on the 500 block of East Franklin Street, when Griggs stopped to admonish them from behind a chain-link fence.
The woman identified as Ms. Griggs is seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and walking her dog, as she hangs over the fence surrounding the park, and begins screaming at the kids.
“Am I screaming loud enough so you can hear me over your music?” the woman asks the boys.
The teacher goes off again, yelling, “The park’s closed—the whole area! Get it through your thick head! You are the reason we’re in this position. You are the problem—not the solution.”
“Go ahead, keep recording. Who you gonna show it to? What are you gonna do—post me on social media?” she asks. “You’re the idiot, not me. I’m just trying to save your lives!” she screamed.
She continued with her rant, as she turned up the heat on her rhetoric, telling them she hopes they die from coronavirus. “But die! I hope both of you get the coronavirus. I hope you both die a long, painful death!” she yelled, as the video ends.

The African Wild West: Nigerian military raid kills 89 terrorists, frees cattle and hostages
The Nigerian military conducted a large anti-terrorist raid on Friday and during the encounter killed 89 suspected gunmen, while freeing five hostages and recovering large amounts of arms and ammunition the military said in a statement.
Major General John Enenche, the spokesman for the Nigerian military said that five hostages, including three women and two men, were rescued during the operation in the Zurmi region of the northwestern Zamfara state.
Enenche said that the Nigerian forces were supported by two helicopter gunships as well as being supported by military forces from the neighboring country of Niger. “Additionally, 322 rustled cows, 77 motorcycles, and some nine cell phones were recovered from the gunmen,” Enenche added.
The operation killed 89 gunmen and cattle rustlers, in news reminiscent of the times of Judge Roy Bean. Enenche said that the government was trying to reunite the hostages with their families and the cattle with their rightful owners.

Tensions sky-high as Turkish regime conducts military exercises in Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean seas
The increasingly belligerent Turkish regime brought tensions with neighboring Greece and Cyprus to a new level after it conducted massive military exercises in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean seas over the weekend.
According to a report from pro-Turkish regime news outlet Daily Sabah, twenty-seven naval warships, maritime patrol aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVS) to part in the drills on Sunday.
Prior to the exercises, tension between Ankara and its European neighbors – Greece and Cyprus – were already sky high as a result of the Turkish regime’s illegal energy drilling in the exclusive economic zones of both countries.
As Voice of Europe reported last week, the EU has threatened Turkey with more economic sanctions if it continues its illegal hydrocarbon drilling off the coasts of Cyprus and Greece.
On the 21st of April, Nicosia slammed Ankara for deploying the Yavuz drillship to Cypriot waters, calling the move an “act of piracy”. Athens has also repeatedly condemned Turkey’s brazen attitude and encroachment into European maritime territory.

Murder, burglary soars in New York City during coronavirus lockdown

While New York City remains under lockdown orders from Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, major violent crime continues to soar.
Cuomo implemented stay-at-home orders on March 20 that effectively force the closure of most businesses, except those deemed "essential," to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Even with the lockdown, major crime categories such as murder, burglary, and auto theft have spiked across New York City.
Over the last 28 days, in the middle of the lockdown, murders in New York City have jumped more than 55 percent compared to this same time last year, when there were no lockdown orders in place.
Between April 13 to April 19, murders increased 100 percent compared to the same week last year. From year-to-date, murders are up by 5.7 percent.
Likewise, grand larceny auto — a crime that no longer warrants bail in New York — has increased more than 53 percent compared to last year. Specifically, there have been 500 charges for auto theft in the last 28 days. During that same time in 2019, there were 326 charges for auto theft.
Over the last week, grand larceny auto crimes across the city have jumped 50.5 percent and they are up more than 62 percent overall since the year before — the largest spike in crime year-to-date for any major category.
The lockdown has also not stopped the rise of burglary in New York City — another crime that in many cases allows the suspect to be released from jail without ever paying bail.
Burglaries are up by 25 percent in the last 28 days and up by more than 36 percent in the last week. From January 1 to April 19, burglaries are up 27.1 percent compared to this same time last year.
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea told local media that burglary suspects are getting "released immediately" from jail due to existing bail laws.

After CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó why parliament is closed during the coronavirus outbreak, he calmly told her that he had spoken to parliament five times in that very week alone.
Apparently believing CNN’s own inaccurate news about Hungary’s state of emergency, Amanpour could only say, “Ok, that’s news to us.”
Szijjártó noted during the interview that many of the claims about Hungary’s state of emergency are simply not true, including the idea that parliament is suspended.
“I read these reports and I have to tell you that these reports never speak about the truth… given the fact that there are four countries in the European Union applying a similar kind of solution: Poland, Malta, Croatia, and us,” Szijjártó said in the interview. “And there are four other [European] countries in which the government can go along with the state of emergency or state of danger without any kind of decision made by the parliament.”

Tyson Foods Issues Dire Warning In Full-Page NYT Ad As Lockdowns Threaten US’s Food Supply
Tyson Foods rolled out a full-page advertisement Sunday in The Washington Post and The New York Times warning that the country’s food supply chain is “breaking” amid continued lockdowns aimed at slowing down the coronavirus pandemic.
The company’s board chairman John Tyson wrote in the ad that farmers will be left in the dust and “millions of animals — chickens, pigs and cattle” will be taken out of the market because of the closure of Tyson processing centers due to virus-related concerns. Tyson Foods closed plants in Logansport, Indiana, and Waterloo, Iowa, where at least 182 cases of the virus originated.
“There will be limited supply of our products available in grocery stores until we are able to reopen our facilities that are currently closed,” Tyson added in the ad, which also appeared in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “Meat will disappear.”

Covid-19 only killing men and women? What about the other 57 genders?
I don't understand this at all. The article purports to account for all deaths. Yet it states the death tolls only for "men" and "women." The question that goes entirely unaddressed — much less answered — is how many deaths there have been among the other 57 genders? The trans- homo- bi- phobic editors of that journal must be called out and shamed for this callous inequity. It is a national tragedy that deaths among these groups are apparently not even being tracked, let alone analyzed.
So science tells us that gender in humans is binary and the biological differences between men and women matter. Who wooda thunk it?
The concept of gender fluidity is an intellectual contagion that can thrive only in an environment where advancing frivolous, even outrageous, ideas has limited immediate practical consequences on people's health. The faculty lounge of the average college humanities department for instance. In an environment where getting it right has life and death consequences — such as a public health crisis — such ideas fade rapidly into irrelevance, like a nasty virus shriveling and dying in the noonday sun.
