LOCUST GROVE — WARNING: Graphic content, viewer discretion is advised.
Deputies are asking the public to help with any information regarding two men seen in the area where several cows were found killed, or missing, near Locust Grove.
In a Facebook post shared by the Mayes County Sheriff's Office, a woman says that two men were seen in the same area just 30 minutes to an hour after "multiple cows" were found shot to death with a bow and arrow.
The post says that at first the family thought it was just one cow that had been killed, but now there are a total of two that have been found dead, with seven others missing.
"They were heavily bred, they were due to have their babies any time now. There are still 7 mommas missing. They had been chased and shot as if this were some kind of fun game. We are not sure if the 7 missing are okay, we do not know where they are, they were chased enough that they ran through the fences, we don’t know if they are dead as well," says the Facebook post.
Mayes County Sheriff's Office shared the Facebook post and are asking the public to contact the Wagoner Country Sheriff's Office at 918-485-3124 should they have any information on the killings.
