it's forbidden astronomy, and astronomers who dare to discuss it have and are being murdered. the image is an article that appeared in WaPo in 1983. maybe some anon can track down the full article?
not astronomyfag but my understanding is this… we know the mayan long-count calendar of 25k years corresponds to the astronomical observation that the plane of the ecliptic points to the center of the galaxy (the dark band at the middle of the milky way, as view by naked eye) once every 25k yrs. the celestial-mechanical cause of this is the 25k yr precession of the earth's axis of rotation. this precession has been measured relative to the fixed (distant) stars. until recently, it was not possible to measure the precession of the earth's axis of rotation relative to nearby objects, such as the sun or planets in our solar system. when this was finally accomplished just recently, it was discovered that the earth's axis does NOT precess relative to the other bodies in the solar system, MEANING… the entire solar system is precessing as a whole. there is only one known celestial-mechanical mechanism that could cause the entire solar system to 'wobble' as a whole, and that is a massive companion to the sun in a highly elliptical orbit, with an orbital period of 25k yrs. the vast majority of observable stars are binary. the sun would be a rare exception if it did NOT have a companion star. this companion star could be small enough that nuclear fusion never began, thus making it dark and cold and nearly impossible to observe at any significant distance. a small dark companion is also consistent with the relatively small size of the sun. here's the rub… there would likely be one more consequence of the dark companion's approach to perigee once every 25k yrs. it would likely be dragging a cosmic shitload of gravitationally entrained comets behind it from the oort cloud, meaning a significantly increased risk of a cometary impact with the earth. the object reported back in 1983 fits the description. don't you think it's odd that the report of such an astounding discovery has not been followed-up on big time? why hasn't it been the subject of countless astronomy papers? cover-up?
