SSRIs relate to Akathesia Induced Impulsivity, which comes about in people with a particular enzyme in their liver which metabolizes SSRIs differently from other people. The people wielding this predisposition are sought after and fucked with until something bad enough happens to them that prompts them to seek the "medicine", which then interacts with them such that they become impulsive while suffering from Akathesia.

Conveniently, these people often aren't cognizant of these circumstances and "come to" after everything is over.

Sound waves matter a lot because Norman has little comprehension for the full spectrum and what all it can do.
