And if you know that they're watching your internet usage to see what sites you're connecting to, it looks like you're connecting to a gaming site. You could appear to be gaming instead of chatting to a spy who can see your network traffic but not decrypt it.
If the game has enough users connecting to it, it won't be possible to tell from network traffic analysis who is chatting to who.
