This has gone on long enough that an awful lot of people will simply refuse to believe they fell for a hoax of this magnitude, and will believe the truth is a "coverup." it wouldn't matter what evidence they were shown, they'd still believe the lie because they're incapable of a paradigm shift of that magnitude.
