General Milley was my brigade commander in Iraq
Our platoon had spent the better part of a year hiding in abandoned houses and atop rickety corn silos. We were conducting traffic analysis, using thermals to catch haji planting IED’s at night. We were recon: Small teams WAY outside the wire. Sneaking and peaking. Snooping and pooping.
On Election Day, our platoon was reallocated to cover down for units pulling security at voting stations. It was a violent day.
One of my buddies (top fucking notch soldier) stepped on an IED. 155 round (BIG SHIT) buried vertically. He was killed instantly. I will save you the carnage but it was HORRIFIC ok? Our platoon was fucking DEVASTATED. We did what we had to do and got the fuck out of there.
Later that night, real late too, like 23-2400 hours late, one of the CO’s said Col. (at the time) Milley was on his way to speak with us.
See, months earlier, we had converted a warehouse into a makeshift FOB. We were living there when not out on a mission. Anyways, he showed up at like 2 in the morning and got us all together.
Anons - as god as my witness, that man gave a speech for the ages. He strengthened our resolve like only Col. Milley could. Picture this: It was the middle of the night and we were all standing in this warehouse. Some of us crying. The only light was coming from a fire pit we had going (the ceilings were probably 60ft high). And he was STRONG. He was FORCEFUL. He knew EXACTLY what to say. I won’t paraphrase, but I will tell you: he was a beacon of strength and leadership. He was EXACTLY what we all needed.
A couple months later, MI ended up finding out who was responsible, and we dragged that bastard out of his house at 3 o’clock in the fucking morning. SURPRISE!
But that night, anons, our unit got to see the REAL Col. Milley. And I am writing this to tell you: he is a BAAAAAD man (Bad meaning good). Now I get to sit back and watch him and other Patriots tear down evil forces for PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP. I get chills just thinking about it.
