>Astrotheological symbolism
Most don't have the eyes to see the forest, for they've only been able to conceive of the individual trees up till now. That doesn't mean the trees don't hold significant substance on their own.
I tend to agree with the broad conclusions to be drawn from a material interpretation of the ancient glyph symbology.
Here's another layer to the story that may bring it back around to the metaphysical significance of celestial events. Plasma physicists have reported the apparent phenomena of emergent consciousness within observed plasma structures. The lab observations appear to show the plasma interacting with the observer on a emotive telepathic level, and changing based on a multitude of variables. When we think about our bodies as radio receivers, tapping in to the eternal consciousness of the divine aether, or as hosts for the plasmoid soul, our own consciousness appears to be plasma/electric in nature, so communicating with plasma, and then the idea of celestial plasma events and planetary interactions exhibiting conscious intent is not as far fetched as it may sound. The stories throughout the ages of sages seeing visions and being contacted by specific interdimensional consciousnesses, and the subsequent codified symbology and teachings that relay that information is not so easily dismissed.
