Interesting. A movie coming before P. election Nov, by the daughter of the director/screenwriter John Milius (Apocalypse Now, Jeremiah Johnson, Dirty Harry, Big Wednesday, Conan The Barbarian, The Wind and the Lion, Sean Connery was hired to star in the film The Hunt for Red October for producer Mace Neufeld, based on the Tom Clancy novel. Connery thought the script was "too American" and insisted Neufeld hire John Milius to rewrite the Russian sequences. Then Milius remained in high demand as a screenwriter: he did several drafts of another Clancy adaptation, Clear and Present Danger.

The daughter, Amanda Milius, who went to work for the Trump administration from day one in the State Dept. as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Bureau of Global Pubic Affairs and developed integrated global communications plans around topics including Iran, Israel, border security and immigration, and other issues as they arose within the global narrative and the administration’s priorities.
