this is certainly Satan's goal, both leaders of islam and catholicism have expressed a certain admiration of the other's religion.

I think they are using Russia as a boogey man, many people still have bad memories of the cold war.

To add to that, I'm sure there is a very active Russian deepstate and oligarchs who want Russia under deepstate control.
